The Last of Us

Going to indulge the fandom train today and gush about how much I love this game and how it always makes me cry and how I always watch playthroughs on YT and never get tired of them.

This is one of those games that I feel like everyone should watch or play. Everything about it is so well done: the gameplay, the story, the music, the casting, everything. I rarely get so gripped by a game like this. But as a writer, as an empath -- I primarily feel things through music. It's a really weird thing to say, I know, but honestly, music is how I emote. Music will make me cry (it doesn't take much).

So here I am at work, watching/listening to TLOU over the last few days (a decent and well-played walkthrough with no commentary and all the cutscenes can be anywhere from six to ten hours, give or take a few), and I'm all sniffly at my desk (thank god for high cubicle walls lol).


AND THEN I REALIZE I HAVE NO ICONS. Guess I'll fix that this week hahaha. I forget I wasn't on LJ or DW (I mean, I had accounts, but wasn't using them) when I discovered this game. So I have a LOT of graphics to catch up on.

Forgive my ramble. It's been a while since I've had a place (or rather, utilized a place) that's actually set up to be a blog and doesn't feel dumb to post on. I never enjoyed blogging on Tumblr, mainly because no one gave two shits and you couldn't privatize anything (not like you can on DW or LJ).

I need to get back to work lol

Theatre Woes

I thought a musical was hard work, but being an old lady when I a) have never been a character this "old", and b) don't do voices all that well, is a REAL challenge.

I'm torn between smoker lady voice and pleasant old deaf lady because I started with smoker lady and I'm just not sure it's right.




*SIGH*
